Responsibilities: Wrote human interest stories about eight competing athletes at 2008 Olympic Trials and will do the same at the 2012 Olympic Trials.
Approach: Prior to writing about the athletes, I researched their careers online, through provided press materials and from in-person interviews conducted immediately after competition. I emailed the completed stories to the Director of Communications who then edited and posted them on the USA Track & Field website.
